The New York City market
New York has more med spas than any other US metro by the count we use. Patients ask about specific areas, such as the Upper East Side, Midtown, Flatiron, SoHo, Tribeca and Brooklyn, and the engines answer with a short list for that area, not the whole metro.
One national directory counts about 2,598 med spas in the New York City metro under a broad definition that includes laser and skin clinics (Orbital). Whatever the exact number, a patient's AI answer names only four or five.

For the med spa question, the engine named 4 businesses and put Koru Wellness Aesthetics first. For veneers, it named 5 practices, led by Cosmetic Dental Studios (Dr. Victoria Veytsman). Both Manhattan answers were tied tightly to the neighborhood in the question, so a strong practice a few neighborhoods away can be left out.
